Eighth Grade Social Studies: Your American History Blog

Eighth Graders, on this blog you will be posting comments to various topics that we are studying in class. This will often be your homework. You must think carefully and write coherently--everyone will see your comments. I look forward to reading your thoughts!

Sincerely,
Khala Kim

  5. Historians have used the phrase “Columbian exchange” to describe the trade of plants, animals, disease and goods between the East and West. The Columbian exchange impacted the social and culture of both sides of the Atlantic. Advancements in agricultural production, warfare, and education are a few examples of the effect of the Columbian Exchange on both Europeans and Native Americans.
